Madhuri Dixit has always managed to enthrall one and all with her magnetic charm. She ruled the Box Office for decades and is enjoying her yummy-mummy status these days. This time, the actress voices out her concern for elephants, as she is the Indian brand ambassador for ‘Emeralds for Elephants’ project.
Talking about her inclination towards elephants, the actress said, “Forests are disappearing; this wouldn’t have happened if we wouldn’t have cut the trees. I am delighted to be a part of such a cause, as elephants are my favourite. I am a mother and I feel we need to take care of our heritage so that our children can enjoy it. I teach my children to conserve it. Even when I dance, I pray to Ganesha, the elephant God. They are animals of national heritage. I have grown up doing Kathak and in that sense, there is lot of respect and love.”
