Madhuri Dixit, who recently returned to Mumbai, enraptured with old world Bollywood charm in a glittering nude sari at the wedding reception of celebrity Doctors Abhishek and Shefali on Sunday, July 10.

 
While the mehendi ceremony saw the likes of Sushmita Sen and Farah Khan Ali, Dr Shefali Trasi and Dr Abhishek Nerurkar's wedding saw a number of big stars come to wish the happy couple. Shefali's parents Dr Srilata and Dr Suresh Trasi welcomed guests like Vrinda Rai, Chhagan Bhujbal, Rakesh Roshan and wife Pinky. Dilip Kumar, who's health has been under the weather for some time, came to bless the couple along with wife Saira Banu. Some of the other guests included Pritish Nandy and wife Rina, Maushmi Chatterji, Leena Mogre and Sonali Kulkarni. Hrishitaa Bhatt made a rare appearance at the happy occasion.

The three large halls on the ground floor of Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Ghoda, were packed with art lovers, celebrities and connoisseurs on Wednesday, as the city paid tribute to Maqbool Fida Husain, arguably India’s most popular artist, a month after his death in London. Husain’s five children — Raeesa, Ovais, Aqila, Samsad and Shafat — attended the condolence meet organised by the gallery, as did Mumbai’s glitterati, including actress Madhuri Dixit, a former muse of the artist.
