Talk about grabbing eyeballs on the boob tube and the comeback diva Madhuri Dixit might put some of the superstars in Bollywood to shade.
The actress who’s on an indefinite break from films has just shouldered the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 to super success. Madhuri was the judge on the show along with Malaika Arora and choreographer Remo D’Souza.
According to the figures being released, Madhuri was able to get more eyeballs among TV viewers than even Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan despite being paid a substantially less amount in comparison to the two male stars. Reportedly, 5.6 percent of viewers with cable or satellite TV watched Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa 4 on its opening day.
In comparison, Amitabh Bachchan, despite his superb show-hosting skills, could only attract 4 percent viewership. Disappointingly, Shahrukh Khan got only 2.6 percent viewers.
The figures go to show that Madhuri’s aura in showbiz still hasn’t fizzled out despite her being away in the US with her family.
