A mystery Actress from Madhuri Dixit's generation gives her advice on the Khans of Bollywood and her puffed up fees. Is there a media conspiracy to malign the diva?
Many were surprised to see a gossip report in a leading news paper hurling vague allegations at actress Madhuri Dixit. The report suggested that the Dhak Dhak girl declared that she would only work with Shahrukh, Salman or Aamir Khan. It also stated that she would only work at an inflated fee of Rs 5 crores.
The report claimed that the above mentioned information had been supplied by an actress of Madhuri’s generation. The ‘mystery actress’, who wasn’t named, was also of the opinion that the Khans don’t want to work with ‘older’ actress such as Bipasha Basu or Rani Mukherjee. Instead they are pursuing films with new-comers such as Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha. The ‘mystery actress’ also suggested that Dixit should try her luck at Kaun Banega Crorepati to fulfill her ‘exorbitant’ fee demands.

A source close to the actress, who worked on the popular dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jha, where Madhuri was a judge. spoke to us in defense of the actress, “Madhuri is at a stage in her career where she cannot play the arm candy of a star, nor is she ready to play boring and forgettable character parts. She has refused many such unimaginative offers, which is why the producers of those films are spreading false rumors about her”
Dixit was last seen in the Yash Chopra produced, Aaja Nachle (2007). The film was touted to be a grand comeback for the legendary beauty, but it was a box office dud. It seems like fans want to see Dixit’s metamorphosis to the next level. Maybe if she is offered meaty parts in films that make a difference, Dixit might do it at a humble price.
